English Medium Instruction (EMI) si riferisce all'uso della lingua inglese per insegnare materie accademiche (diverse dall'inglese stesso) in paesi in cui la prima lingua della maggioranza della popolazione non parla inglese come prima lingua.
EMI is growing worldwide. Schools and Universities around the globe are embracing EMI, adopting English to better include international students, international teachers, local minorities who do not speak the national language and people who are competent with English as well as their own language.

IH Palermo ha organizzato diversi corsi EMI in collaborazione con Unipa.
I corsi organizzati da IH Palermo Language Centre sono di 15 ore e hanno una cadenza bisettimanale.

I docenti coinvolti hanno seguito le lezioni in lingua inglese (prerequisito minimo livello B1, consigliato B2+) e hanno spesso espresso soddisfazione nell'applicare questi strumenti di didattica nei propri corsi immediatamente!
